This morning my co-worker comes has his morning talk at my desk.
The usual good morning ... how was your weekend? ... Gym Wednesday? .. class? etc.

Everything was going well.. I was answering all his questions .. and at the end he'll usually say something like
"okay, see you at lunch !" or "I'll email you in a bit"
This time it was different ... his parting words were
"Are you okay? you've been super nice to me ... its kinda awkward ... I don't know how to act"

LMAO

A friend is having extreme problems with this girl.. I guess home girl is ignoring him and not answering his calls and apparently he (who I always viewed as a "player") is really diggin' this girl and is totally heartbroken over her. He ask for advice .. I give him it .. GREAT advice I might add .. and he tells me
"Why are you being so nice to me? Usually you have something smart ass status to say"

"We need to talk."

You: "The blue one—you know, the one with the orange flower print? I got it from that store across town? On sale?"

Your girlfriend: "You mean the one you found on the $29.99 rack in the back? The same day I found those shoes at the store just down the street?"

You: "That's the one! I wore that shirt to work a few weeks ago and she complimented me on it and next thing I know, she ran to the store and bought my shirt and is wearing it to work! Can you believe it? Do you know how that made me feel?"

Your girlfriend: "Aw, hell to the nah. Are you serious? That's horrible. She's got some nerve..."

For sure, this conversation could go on for hours, morphing into all kinds of side conversations that have absolutely nothing to do with the issue at hand: that some woman was wearing the same blouse as you on the same day in the same office.

With a man, exactly ten seconds into the conversation, he'd arrive at The Fix. I present to you, Exhibit B:

You: "I walked into work today and before I could get to my desk, I saw Tanya walking over to the coffee machine and wouldn't you know that heiffa had on the same shirt as me?"

Your man: "Really? Don't wear it anymore."

End of conversation. It's that simple for us.
How you felt at work while you had to sit there with this other woman on the other side of the room with the same blouse on is irrelevant to us. As far as we're concerned, the problem has already been fixed—you came home. You're not looking at the woman in the identical blouse anymore. And if you don't wear that particular blouse to the office again, you won't have to deal with that particular problem again. In our mind, problem solved—no more talking.


I'm telling you right now: if you go to your man with a situation that's fixable and he doesn't try to fix it, he is not your man—he is not in love with you. Go ahead, I dare you to try it for yourself. When your man comes over, tell him, "You know, I just can't stand this kitchen this way. The color just throws me all off, the cabinets are all wrong, they don't go with the stove and I can't get my mind right in here when I'm trying to cook." If he's all the way in it with you, he will say, without hesitation, "What color you want this kitchen to be, baby?" Tell him "pink," and see if by next Saturday the whole kitchen isn't painted pink, cabinets and all.
....

But the more experienced man—the one who can read his lady's moods and tell when something is wrong—is going to ask her what's up, and no matter how many times she says, "nothing," he's going to ask again and again until she starts coming clean and opens up, though, in his heart of hearts, he will be hoping to God there's really nothing wrong, and if there is something wrong, he will be able to just fix it because he doesn't want to see her pout. Even when he thinks she is done talking, he'll push her until the issue is resolved because he can't leave it at, "Wow, sorry that happened." He will immediately launch into The Fix.

Of course, it would go a long way if women stopped opening the conversation with "we need to talk." The moment you say that, our defenses go up, the repair tools come out, the sweat starts rolling, and we're sprinting through the events of the past weeks, trying to figure out what we did wrong, when we did it, and how we're going to fix it so that we're not in trouble anymore.

In fact, I think it's a good idea that, if you just want to vent, you start the conversation with something simple, like, "Honey, look, nothing is really wrong—I just want to tell somebody something." That's a great opening line; it allows us to relax, take our foot down from the witness stand, put away our "fix it" tools, and actually sit and listen to what you have to say.

The good life is inspired by love and guided by knowledge.

I always find it funny how its easiest to give advice to someone else but hardest to take your own advice.

A few friends have been going through relationship problems and asked me for advice .. I let them know exactly what I think should be done from what I learned through observation of others, talking to different types of people and of course good 'ol Cosmo!(jk kinda, lol). I've learned what is highly effective and what should be avoided...

You would think my relationships have been just peachy in the past but if you're a long time reader you know that's just the opposite. Sometimes I end up doing the opposite of what I thought was right at the time. Sometimes causing me to beg(which should never be done) and plead or even stay quiet about things that should have been a big deal.

To be fair, I also think the experience has brought the knowledge.
Of course I'll still make mistakes here and there but knowing what I want will make them less embarrassing and make me look less desperate.. lol.

Just remember: the person who deserves you is the one that's will treat you the best and versa. No need to ever settle. :]

March Madness was awesome :]

&& very eventful. lol

Story: Me and Cristal rushed to get ready. She had work and I had...well had traffic. :/ lol. Than headed out around 730ish wearing a black mini dress(me) and gorgeous ripped jeans and matching top(her). On our way to the event we got lost of course. lol. I forgot my GPS and her phone GPS was taking us to the actual bank(Citizens Business Bank Arena) so we drove around and finally decided to stop at a gas station.

The guys were super weird and overly friendly. but gave us the directions we needed.. Apparently if I woulda drove down a bit more I woulda hit it. lol

Anywhoo ... We arrived. Security commented on our attire lol She was super friendly. (side note: when I went to the Hard concert I got searched in places where I would have never thought to be touched before :/ lol)

We were in. :]

We went to find our wonderful seats courtesy of KGGI. :] Awesome sky box and private bar (95 more days till I turn 21! lol) We sat for awhile and listened to MC Magic than decided to walk around and check out the arena.

We saw a lot of people from HS .. wonder if they saw us. lol

We even saw a girl trip up a bit while walking in heels :/ haha

I must say, quite an ego boasting night.

Oh girl .. you look preggers !

I was reading my oh so awesome Cosmo mag the other day and came across an article titled
"A dating coach gives his no BS Tips"

I know how creditable Cosmo is .. but can you blame a girl for being interested in what it has to say? lol
Anyways .. I found some of the things quite interesting .. and for you non-readers of the women's bible to sex, beauty and love .. here's a problem the author discuss:

Problem:
You're dressing for guys and not girls

It sounds ridiculous but it actually true. When you go out shopping you get the opinion of your female bestie...What is cute for us girls isn't always attractive to men.
Example given: Baby Doll dresses.

"They make a women look heavier than they are ... or pregnant"

I cracked up when I read this. why? Personal experience:
Once I was dating this guy and he took me to six flags. I wore jeans and I cute(I thought) flowy top. It was form fitting on the bust and loose as it went down. I thought I was super cute .... That day he told me I looked gorgeous(all guys say that when they are trying to impress you) but come weeks later when we talked about that day .. he confessed that he hated that shirt.. his words were "it made you look like you were pregnant because everything was slim and it was just extra fabric on your tummy"

So yea, I learned the hard way...I'm not saying to do away with flowy stuff. . . just don't expect to find a guy finding that outfit attractive.

Guys advice:

If you have been following me on TWITTER (in which you should be) I posted up a comment saying "The world is so much taller without heels on".

Story behind..
I usually wear heels to work. Friday is super casual day so I wore jeans today with my slip ons ... its like a whole new world!! lol I got up to get some water and I feel like I shrunk. :[ The counter tops were super high and the cabinet seemed like a reach. I was standing with a co-worker talking to him and he even commented on my shortness. jerk lol

I think its just a work thing tho. I don't wear heels out as often as I use too. (Considering I'm not out partying or dating like before) So it may not be the world.. just work .. but for 8 hours everyday, work is my world. :/

If you've been my friend forever you have to know that I've been IN LOVE with Baby bash for like ever. lol. It even broke me and my last boyfriend up once 'cause I had sent Baby Bash a Message saying "I love you. Will you marry me?" on myspace (lmfao long story). I even dated Brown Boy (Superman song singer) for a bit in hopes of seeing him..but no. lol (I was young!)

Anywhoo, I wasn't AS bad on the radio as my last winning (Britney tickets. Read about that winning here)

I really didn't expect it this time, I was thinking to myself "I couldn't be THAT lucky could I?" BUT I was. :] When he answered and asked for my name I almost died from shock ! haha No, I didn't say I was going to cry this time !! ... but I am WAY more excited about seeing Baby Bash. -sighs-

I was planning on buying tickets but it just hasn't been in my budget...actually my budget has been going to shopping : [ haha so it all worked out in the end !

Plus I'm in the running to have my name called at 7:20 for VIP passes .. how awesome would that be? THAN I really will be crying, haha. Just keep your fingers crossed my name gets called! Lets see how far my luck will be pushed! haha

This week has been an emotional roller coasters

... well this past month its just all lead to this week.

Walls have been broken down .. to be let down .. than built back up in a matter of seconds.

Time to regroup myself .. go back to the main focus I'm my goals and make that my new boyfriend. :]

I still wonder what it is .. someone else? Something I did? Something you found out about me? something you dislike? I guess its just weird to heart me for 3 months than all of a sudden be "waiting for me" when I said "I'm ready".

Some other fate must be waiting for me now.

I CAN'T BELIEVE I ALMOST FORGOT TO BLOG ABOUT THIS! lol
You may not find it hilarious but I sure did.

sooo.. I'm a people watcher at the gym and this man walks in .. I'm sweating away on the stairmaster (haha) and apparently my blank staring catches his eye. He smiles, I give a half smile hoping he doesn't think anything of it. He than comes around to the stairmaster next to me ... I think he tries to say something but I ignore since I have my iPOD full blast (blasting GIRL TALK! haha) he does that for all of one minute than moves to the machines in front of me, which is the eleptical. He starts to hurriedly move his feet as if he's running from Godzilla...his arms going back and forth like theirs no tomorrow ... trying to really impress somebody.. I look down at his machines screen and its flashing

"By moving the arrows please select a workout"

this message repeats over and over again .. apparently he never looks down .. or doesnt know how to read(if thats the case, I feel bad for making fun of him). . . so i'm thinking to myself that he'll notice it... eventually right?

Wrong.

Lets just say I got some weird looks because I was smiling while sweating mucho on the stairmaster. At least I held in a laugh ..
he did this for a whole 15mins and some never picking a workout :[ I wonder if he ever noticed.. I was done before he was and forgot to look back lol

am i mean? yea. Is it funny? Hilarious. lol

Death of me

Girl Scout cookies are the devil. So nicely packaged with pictures of little girls that shout out BUY ME. Of course you buy. But once the box is opened .. you are DOOMED! The first cookie is totally delicious that a second one must follow. How much harm can cookies bring that are sold by young girls?

Than a second...third...than fourth...pretty soon you're in front of all the grocery stores searching for those little girls in uniforms holding up their yummy cookies.

UGH... I hate this time of year. lol.
Its like all the calories you put off come together in a colorful box.
I haven't bought any. . . but the whole office has...and apparently they want to be nice and share.
Darn you, now you share !?!?

I hate girl scout cookies.

1 and 2 and 3 and 4 and get them sit ups right and

Motivation is lost .. refound ... lost .. than refound again.

I've been slacking with my gym status lately. I go 3-4 times a week rather than 5-6 times a week.

I found out that working out with my gym buddy is the only day I feel most accomplished so I must work out by myself the way I work out with him. (we only work out on Wednesdays because of conflicting schedules. :[ )

Robbie aka Kanye is slacking on my work out plan. haha. : [

BUT I have rekindled my love with the gym .. I only have 100 days to keep up what I'm doing and push myself to even more FIRMNESS. lmao.

Quickie

Growth of the mind, spirit and body are important in order to become successful.

Learning is part of life and if you're smart you learn from mistakes.

Image is important. Trying to be someone you're not bites you in the butt in the end..

Its a "high" for a bit but you come crashing down eventually.

Care not what people think of you..but how you feel on the inside.

Do not try to act like someone you're not .. to receive respect from someone you must show yourself respect first.

Even tho they're cool kids in your eyes doesn't mean they will be truly "cool kids" forever.

To be classy you must act classy..if you dance like a whore ..... that's what you end up looking like. Especially when your posted up all over myspace.

To look trashy is to be perceived trashy. Personal experience.

Another lesson learned .. Luckily [he] didn't give up on me .. but saw more.

It gets deeper...This is just the surface.
